'Autonomous Livestock Trickle Feeder'
Welcome to our Second-Year project blog!
Our project explores the concept of an autonomous trickle feeder designed for livestock and equine applications. It is specifically directed towards animals with specific dietary needs, and aids in reducing the burden of frequent feeding.
In this blog, we detail how we utilised an Arduino microcontroller and a motor to construct a proof-of-concept prototype. Through this, we were able to design a mechanism capable of dispensing controlled amounts of feed at predetermined intervals, ensuring a consistent and appropriate food supply.
