Temperature-controlled Heater

Here at http://temperaturecontrolledheater.blogspot.co.uk/ you will find the blog for our Y2 project blog which title "Temperature-controlled Heater". The group members are Maotong Wang, Ming Lu, Zhiyi Zhao, Yumo Li and Jiasheng Liu, supervised by Dr. Kai Hoettges

.

The aim of the group project is to build a temperature controlled heater system. It is used to heat liquid with a setting temperature. The whole system is based on an Arduino uno board which can control the power of the heaters and the water flow. The example liquid used in this project is water.

We designed the circuit using three power mosfets and three RTD sensors. Using PWM on Arduino to control the output voltage of those mosfets (VGS) in that mosfets could limit the voltage of the heaters and the pump and the power of them would be controlled. We measured lots of data which about the relationship between the power of heater and water flow. Finally use these data to finish the programme of Arduino to achievement our project.
