Solar-Tracking Weather Station

Our project was constructing a Solar-Tracking Weather Station.

 

This project included an automated solar panel tower which uses LDRs to sense the direction of light and inform an Arduino Uno to move the solar panels using Servo Motors.

 

The weather station aspect consists of DHT22 and LTR390 sensors, which detect and display Light Intensity, Temperature, and Humidity on a 4x20 LCD, along with the date and time. This is controlled by an Arduino Uno.

 

Finally, the energy generated from the solar panels connects to a switch, which, when on, allows the voltage to enter a Female USB port to charge external devices.

 

This project also includes 3D-printed components for the motor arm and a laser-cut box.
