Our project is the smart trash can with the following functions: automatically open the lid when someone approaching, detect whether the trash can is full and give information about that. The tricky part could be controlling the motor. Regarding the motor, the opening speed should be suitable, the same for the rotate angle as well. The whole system is a simple embedded system application for future smart homes or intelligent community development. Currently, it is a primary version that only has the above functions, but in the future, with more updates, it will be really promising. For example, if the trash can is connected to the IoT, it would be easier and more efficient for workers to manage the waste problem in the community, which is definitely a good idea for the sustainable development goals. Hope there will be someone who can make the project greater.
