Flood Detection System

Good morning,

Our project, Flood Detection System, is designed to provide real-time monitoring of flood conditions using a combination of ultrasonic, infrared ToF, and soil moisture sensors. The system measures water levels, assesses soil moisture variations, and detects changes in water clarity to deliver early flood warnings. By integrating sensor data with an alert system (RGB LED and buzzer), our device enhances safety and awareness in flood-prone areas.

This project was inspired by the frequent flooding issues across the UK, particularly in the north and south regions. Our goal was to apply our engineering knowledge in robotics, embedded systems, and sensor technology to create a functional and practical solution.

You can explore the full details of our project, including development stages, experimental results, and technical insights, on our blog: https://benvenutinelnostroblog.blogspot.com/
