At http://uolweatherstation.blogspot.co.uk/ you will find the blog for our Year 2 group project about a small Micro-Controller Based Weather Station, by Alex Cain, Katherine Keene, Surya Ravichandran, Herbert Hong, Anuraag Narang, and Qusai Al Juma, supervised by Dr Xin Tu.
Our project details a small micro-controller based solution for taking in weather data and outputting it in various ways, including via USB and over the internet. One of the key focuses of our project is about the taking in, processing and output of data, and in this project we have used weather data to demonstrate this.
We put together a small set of sensors, connected them to a micro-controller, and had this micro-controller process the voltages and currents into meaningful output, and pass this data to various other systems. This data can then be used and manipulated in various ways, as we have shown.
