Acoustic Signal Processing

Here at http://groupprojctsignalprocessing.blogspot.co.uk/ you will find the blog for our year 2 project blog titled "Signal Processing Of Acoustic Signal", by Sai Chen, Ye Li, Hang Liu, Kaitian Lu, Tianyu Wu, supervised by Dr Roberto Ferrero.

 

This project is to analyse the human voice or any other sound which consist various information. We deal with the input signal in both time domain and frequency domain by applying the Fourier transform and autocorrelation technologies. Hence, the main frequency, the shape and the spectrum of the acoustic waveform can be achieved. In addition, we compare the analysis in time domain to that in frequency domain and derive the advantages and disadvantages of both methods.

 

We designed this signal processing system in LabVIEW, which is a virtual instrument software. This product allows users to acquire the acoustic signal from a microphone connected to the compute and helps them to analyze it.
