Object Advoidance Car

Our Year 2 Group Project was to create an object avoidance car.

This was achieved by using a mix of 3 ultrasonic sensors to detect objects such as walls and take action as required, along with an AI powered camera in order take the detection to the step above ultrasonic sensors so that a decision can be made based on detections such as stop signs.
The AI camera uses a pre-trained YOLOv8n model using the COCO dataset to detect multiple objects such as the stop sign mentioned above and others such as traffic lights and people.
The 3 ultrasonic sensors that made the final project are located on the front, left and right side of the car, allowing for decisions to be made about which way the car should turn.
