Here at http://lifiproject2016.blogspot.co.uk/ you will find the blog for our year 2 project blog titled "Li-Fi (Visible Light Communication) Project" by Zhao Wang, Jingyu Cui, Jian Luo and Yichen Xiao, supervised by Prof. Jason Ralph.
This project aims at constructing a communication system between two computers which is capable of transforming character signals into light signals (Input characters→ ASCII→ Binary format→ light signal) from one computer, then use photo sensor to capture the light signals and transform back to characters that displayed on the other computer.
This Li-Fi project consists of signal generating part and signal receiving part. Both parts are required to do some programming (using Assembly language/C language/ MATLAB) and use FRDM-KL46Z board as signal sending/ receiving terminals (also used for testing the photo sensor). Therefore, the overall Li-Fi system can achieve the communication of visible light signals. That is what our year 2 project is about.
