This project involves the light gate and its application of measuring and displaying the instantaneous speed and time used. The project we designed is composed by an infrared emitter, a phototransistor, an Arduino Uno board, a LCD screen and a certain number of resistor.
There are two part to be achieved respectively including code design and circuit construction. On the one hand, the construction design bases on the infrared emitter and phototransistors to receive the change of light intensity and to change the voltages and resistances. Moreover, it is aimed to guarantee an object could be passed by hand or itself successfully. On the other hand, the code design is to support the circuit and components to detect the light changes and calculate time used.
